David Henderson's radical revamp of Prince's Wharf is said to be the bravest undertaking in Auckland at the time

'The City of Sails' that is what they call us here in Auckland and when you look around the Auckland waterfront you can see why. There is so much to do in Auckland and Prince's Wharf which is in the heart of the city makes the ideal location to start from. There are plenty of activities close by such as catching a Fullers Ferry right next door and discovering the beautiful islands such as Waiheke and the other Auckland City Islands. We have the Maritime Museum next door to explore or check out the ocean photography at the gallery You might like to sail with Pride of Auckland or just walk around the Viaduct Village looking at all the millions of dollars worth of boats and apartments. If you haven't been up the Sky Tower then you must be chicken or would rather go and see fish at Kelly Tarlton's Underwaterworld or go to the entertainment centre called The Event Cinemas or maybe the Auckland Museum If you aren't the chicken type there is the Sky Jump or the Auckland Harbour Bridge Climb and when you get to the top you might as well try the Harbour Bridge Jump

Then you could always try Canyoning in the sub-tropical rainforest of the West Coast Waitakere Ranges or bush walks at Piha could be what you are looking for. Only 40 minutes from Auckland Central (transport provided)

Chicken, fish, you must be getting hungry by now so let's talk about food. With all the restaurants to try when Eating Outyou hardly need to leave Prince's Wharf because we have a variety of fine restaurants right here such as Fish at the Hilton Hotel or Euro Restaurant or Float, YNot Restaurant, or the Brazilian Wildfire, or Spice Indian Restaurant & Bar or the Lenin Restaurant & Bar, the Limon Cafe and Bar, the Neptune Restaurant and that's just a start. For many more restaurants around Auckland and elsewhere go to Menus , dineout.co.nz or Time to Dine Out

Click here for the time in New Zealand. Before you leave Auckland make sure you or many of the other shopping centres and find yourself one of the many bargains Some have said that Auckland could be called "The City of Sales"
By the way, a visit to the Auckland Zoo is a lot of fun!
